Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW)
The Amsterdam International Fashion Week ( AIFW) has been becoming a widely appreciated fashion event throughout the entire city. With a catwalk program of established and beginning designers and brands also the downtown program which is open to all should be brought more to attention of a wider audience. Apart from parties and book presentations the AIFW has room for discussions, exhibitions and filmsceernings for example. Listen to a short interview with Mart Visser -the leading couturier of the Netherlands -and a visit to a ”clothing Swap party”.

The Rainbow Warriors of Waiheke Island
After seeing the documentary film ”The Rainbow Warriors of Waiheke Island” by Dutch director Suzanne Raes I decided to dedicate a special hour to it and I also invited two former crew members- Rien and Martini-of the (in)famous ship of Greenpeace to join us live in the studio through a telephonic conversation in which we all shared a few thoughts on the film itself, Greenpeace activities and the future for the next generations of people seriously concerned with our planet and it’s resources.

RAW Rhythm Festival 2009
Raw Rhythm will probably be held this year in 2010 under another name and will also conceptually change.
After speaking to a representative from it’s organisers updates on the festival will be released in due time this year.
Listen to the interviews that were conducted during the festival in 2009 and broadcasted on the air and internet.
The festival which received a large audience of all parts and parties should be concidered a succes. With 8000 visitors and a at all times cheerful crowd and open sky and sunshine-this event should definately be brought to live again in 2010.

The Miscreants of Taliwood
I spoke to George Gittoes after his premiere screening at IDFA of this splendid and daring film.
In The Miscreants of Taliwood, Gittoes gathers together his most surprising cast of fellow artists yet (actors, dancers, musicians, video fans, and academics) and joins and empowers their creative endeavours in the face of extraordinary odds.
Almost a simple heroic tale: but Gittoes’ work is never simple, never a single thread or theme – he interweaves and works through a complexity of contemporary, historical and personal references, until the works are ‘loaded’ and at critical mass (http://www.gittoes.com)

Gary Goldschneider interview
Recorded for the English Breakfast radio Amsterdam, where me and Gary both live, we sat down at his home where he played me a few tunes and we had a wonderful conversation on his latest book: Everyday Astrology.
In this audiosegment only a quarter of the entire conversation is used for braoadcasting but it does give an insight into the life and the mind of Gary Goldschneider. Raised in America and being a mutually talented musician and astrologer it was clear to me that his mathematically well organised mind has been helping him thoughout the last 70 years of his life.
Gary also played a short composition for me on his grand piano- as he says- the grandest grand piano of Amsterdam-which you can hear when we play it in the back of our conversation.
